The beige wall behind me is plain, almost boring, but it’s the perfect backdrop for this moment. I can’t help but smile, knowing he’s gonna walk in any second now. And when he does, he’ll see me like this, ready for whatever comes next. It’s kind of thrilling, actually. The text on the wall reads, ‘If you don’t like catching me with other guys, stop coming home so early.’ It’s a simple message, but it says so much. I’m not hiding anything. I’m just living my life, and if he can’t handle it, well, that’s his problem, not mine.

When He Walks In
